It all started with a hardware store in the 1930's. Joseph Fogelsonger opened the tore on the Flint Michigan’s north end. Business changed over to Fogelsonger's wallpaper and Paint Company in the early forties. Joseph’s two sons' Wallace and Lloyd Fogelsonger were the new proprietors.
Wallace sold his interest in the wallpaper and paint co. to his brother Lloyd and opened Fogelsongers' Floorcoverings in an adjoining building in 1945. The new business specialized in rolls of 12ft. wide linoleum, prepackaged room size linoleum, floor tile and roll countertop material. Carpet was added in the 1960's.
The Original cash and carry business premise
changed and began to offer installation to complete a full
service floor covering company. Harold Fogelsonger purchased
Fogelsonger's Flooercovering in 1970 and relocated the business
to its present location at 4918 Clio rd. Then in 2006 we moved to our new location at 3489 N. Linden Rd.
The next generation of Fogelsongers has now taken responsibility for Fogelsonger's Affordable floors. Joe Barbaretta, son of Ruth Fogelsonger is keeping the tradition of value and quality, for over 3 decades Fogelsongers has brought Flint a company that provides personal service you will only find in a family owned & operated business.
